Performers Bios

Berel Zucker

Berel Zucker was born in 1981, is a graduate of the music school at Yeshiva University in New York, where he studied music, voice, and the cantorial arts. In 2005, he won the international competition for young cantors, and has been recognized for his ability to combine contemporary Hasidic Jewish music with the traditional cantorial arts. He resides in NY with his wife and nine children, and performs as a cantor and a Hasidic singer at Jewish events and concerts all over the world.

Yacov Amsellem

Yacov Amsellem was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He carried a beautiful Moroccan tradition of Rabbis and leaders. With his outstanding voice he has been inspired the community in Montreal with the prayers of High Holidays. Yacov tallendly combined the Moroccan and Chabad melodies in his services he lead regularly, together with a tremendous focus of empowering the audience to uncover their inner potential and become closer to G-D.

Chaim Freund​

Chaim Freund is a professionally trained Chazzan and keyboardist with experience playing at all kinds of events. He is currently the Chazzan at Shaarei Shomayim Synagogue and has led High Holidays Services in London, England, and California. Chaim also served as year round Chazzan and Ba'al Koreh at Chabad of the Shore in Deal, New Jersey. He studied at the Tel Aviv Cantorial Institute under Chazzan Naftali Hershtik, as well as Professor Johannes Sweiger from NYU in New York City.
